Hi everyone,

Hoping you all had a good holiday and that you all have a wonderful year and will be happy.
I and my husband decided to get away from the house during Christmas. We decided to go to Florida for the weekend. It was peaceful, yet cold but at least I didn't see Christmas lights or things that would remind me of our son Mikey. I miss him terribly and I'm told as time goes by that I will feel better. As a mom I know I have changed. A huge part of me is gone forever but I shall move on and do the best that I can.
I've made a lot of items for Mikey's Cardiologist and her husband during the Christmas season. She sent me emails on my Etsy site, saying how beautiful the sun catchers were and that I have a gift. I was deeply honored by her emails especially coming from a professional like herself.
I am thinking of changing my blog. Not the look of it but how/what to type on it.
I would like your opinion as to what you would like to see on it such as comments/questions/giveaways, things in that nature. I quess Im asking you, what would you like to see that would improve this blog. Maybe I should start the first question: What made you join my blog? I'm not very good to this posting thing anyway but I would like to make it more interesting not only for me but for you ;)
Have a great week all!

  1. I am so sorry to hear about the death of your son. I'm sorry I didn't know until you posted it on my blog.

Advice about your blog...hmmm...well, you know my art blog has been through so many versions. When I first started it, I blogged a lot about family life and such. I like to be pretty open, but then again, if it's a blog that's about what you do professionally, then that personal stuff can be too much sometimes. I guess a key thing is to check your web-stats (like use if you don't already) so you can see what people are interested in. What people want and are looking for can kind of guide you where you need to go.

If the direction you want to go is very different, it may mean making another blog. Perhaps leave this one with a message and link to where your new blog is. Then just start fresh off the top, but don't delete this "old" blog. It's good to leave it as it will still bring traffic to your new blog, and you want people who have been coming here to be able to find you.

If you want the blog to help your business more, then make sure keywords that will help you are part of your blog titles.

    Well, that's all I have. :)

  2. Darla,

Thank you for your comment! I only wish I had checked my blog sooner to respond.

I have so much on my plate right now that I have stopped blogging -(hmm its not as if I do it everyday anyway( but I do want to change it, to make it more for the business end of it.
At present, I have orders to fill (which I am grateful for, takes my mind off a lot) and thinking of going back to college (talking a lot to Gwinnett Tech. staff) but evenutally, I will get back into the swing of things with my decision as to how to present this blog.

Thank you again for your help!
